Choosing a higher level wash package that includes features like tire cleaning and wax application can better shield your vehicle from harsh UV rays, extreme temps, and high humidity.

There are also some things to do after your wash to keep your vehicle protected from ongoing hot weather and dry conditions that don’t let up. Try to:

- Let your car cool down before driving. Even in the shade, hot weather can raise the interior temps of your vehicle by a significant amount. In fact, the CDC estimates that in the first 10 minutes of being parked, temps can rise by 20 degrees Fahrenheit, even if a window is left open. It’s helpful to start your car and let the air conditioner run for several minutes to cool it down before hitting the road.
